Teaching

I’m Angie, a fifth grade, self-contained, general education teacher. I’m about to undergo the scariest transition of all time, moving up to middle school. Middle schoolers terrified me when I was one, and even more so now!

I’m a coach, choreographer, fiancé, and hopefully a soon to be dog mom. I love to be as creative as possible, both in and out of the classroom. I’m hoping to share my journey through teaching to hopefully help other teachers feel heard, related to, and (fingers crossed) inspired.

I started teaching in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, with absolutely no teaching experience. After a year, I decided to earn my masters degree in education. At the end of my second year, my fiancé and I were given the opportunity to move out of state, again!

I believe in not bringing work home with you, making school as fun and creative as possible for students, and realizing that we’re all just people, and sometimes, people need a break.
